Story
Diagnozjusz is the wise old doctor of the dwarf world. He arrived on ul. Borowska on 28 September 2012 and immediately set up his consulting room outside the Nowa Farmacja pharmacy building within the Medical University hospital complex. He is said to carry a tiny stethoscope at all times and to have diagnosed more ailments by intuition than any machine ever invented. Legend has it that before the Affidea centre opened, the sick dwarfs of Wroclaw would queue outside his door from before dawn, and he never turned anyone away.

Diagnozjusz was installed on 28 September 2012 at ul. Borowska 211, in front of the Nowa Farmacja building at the Wroclaw Medical University hospital. The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Wroclaw Medical University is one of the oldest in Poland. Diagnozjusz was created by sculptor Beata Zwolanska-Hold.
Inspiration
The dwarf embodies the spirit of medical diagnosis — the art of listening carefully and finding the hidden cause of illness. Placed directly outside a pharmacy and hospital, he bridges the worlds of medicine and the community. His name is a Latinised, dignified form of the word 'diagnoza' (diagnosis), giving him the gravitas of a senior physician.
