Story

Marinożerca is a bronze dwarf with a wide, laughing face: his eyes are squeezed shut, his mouth is open mid-laugh, and he has a full, shaggy beard and a pointed cap. wromap.pl says the figure stands inside a building at Paprotna 7, so you meet him indoors. In the photo he is shown close up, with glass railings and a light wooden-look floor behind him.

History & Significance

wromap.pl lists this dwarf under the main name Objadek, with the other names Smakosz Marino and Marinożerca, at Paprotna 7 (51-117 Wrocław), and credits Marlena Zakrzewska as the author. It gives no appearance date. The same site lists three more dwarfs at the same address, Inwestor, Krasnal z Paprotką and Krasnal z Wózkiem Zakupowym, with the same author. We found no second source, and we do not know who commissioned him.

Inspiration

No source we found explains the story behind him. The names point to food: Objadek comes from the Polish word for stuffing yourself with food, Smakosz means gourmet, and Marinożerca can be read as 'eater of Marino'. His laughing face fits that mood, but this is our reading of the names, not something a source says.
