Story
Góral can be found at Przemyska 96, the Leśnica district. The photo on wromap.pl shows a bearded dwarf in a wide-brimmed hat with a worn blue-green patina, sitting on a lawn with a cobbled path behind him. His name means 'highlander'.
History & Significance
No sculptor, sponsor or unveiling date could be found for him. Wrocław's bronze dwarfs trace back to the Orange Alternative, a playful protest movement of the 1980s whose members painted dwarfs on city walls; the city began commissioning bronze dwarfs in 2005, and local businesses and institutions have added many more since. Góral is one of the dwarfs outside the historic centre. Who commissioned this dwarf is not publicly documented in the sources we found.
