Story

IP-ek is Wroclaw's very own Labour Inspector — a serious, official dwarf with a sense of duty as solid as his bronze. Stationed at ul. Kopernika 5, at the Training Centre of the State Labour Inspectorate, he ensures that every dwarf in the city — and every human — is working in safe and proper conditions.

History & Significance

According to the official legend, the Dwarf of All Dwarfs looked out at the city one day and decided something was missing: a supervisor to ensure safe working conditions for all dwarf-folk. And so IP-ek was created and delegated permanently to the State Labour Inspectorate Training Centre on ul. Kopernika, where he has resided ever since.

Inspiration

The Panstwowa Inspekcja Pracy (State Labour Inspectorate) is a real and important institution in Poland, overseeing worker safety and labour law compliance. IP-ek is its cheerful, miniature ambassador — turning the serious world of occupational health and safety into something a six-year-old can giggle at while their parents nod knowingly.
