Story

Milistoniusz greets everyone with a big wave. He has a round, smiling face with narrow, happy eyes, a short beard and a tall, narrow cap, and under his other arm he carries something box-shaped. Behind him is a glass building front.

History & Significance

Milistoniusz stands at Fabryczna 24 in Muchobór Mały. The sculptor is listed as Marlena Zakrzewska; I found no source giving the date it appeared. The dwarf tradition began in 2001, when the Orange Alternative monument (Papa Krasnal) was unveiled on Świdnicka street, and the city has kept adding bronze dwarfs ever since. The sources I found do not say who commissioned or sponsored it.

Inspiration

The sources I found do not explain who Milistoniusz is, when he appeared or who sponsored him. The name looks like a playful invention; its meaning is not documented, so none is claimed here.
