Story
Podatkuś Doradek sits at plac Solny 16, a neat, friendly dwarf with a pointed cap, a flowing beard and a tidily curled moustache whose tips point upwards. His narrow eyes twinkle as if he has just found a clever way to save you some money. The playful story is that he is the only dwarf who actually enjoys filling in forms, and he will happily explain them to you for free. Look for the happy moustache, and see if you can curl yours the same way.
History & Significance
Wromap.pl credits Sebastian Obst as the sculptor. He is one of a tight group of dwarfs outside the same building on plac Solny 16, with Akademiusz about 2 metres away and Giełduś and Długi within about 5 metres. The dwarf tradition he belongs to grew out of the Orange Alternative protests of the 1980s.
Inspiration
His name combines podatek, which means tax, with doradca, which means adviser, so Podatkuś Doradek is the tax adviser dwarf. Taxes are not an obvious subject for a bronze statue, which is part of the joke.
