Wooden Church

Can you believe this whole church is made of wood - and that it travelled here? It was built about 400 years ago near Koźle in Upper Silesia, and in 1913 it was taken apart and put together again here in the park for the Centennial Exhibition. Its walls are made of larch logs and its roof is covered with little wooden tiles called shingles. Autumn treasure no. 2: the Wooden Shingle. Kids' challenge: find the old stone cross right next to the church - it remembers a meeting of three kings in 1474!
