Story

This Budowniczy (the Builder) is a stern, bushy-bearded dwarf with a pointed cap, listed at Blacharska 13 in the Grabiszyn-Grabiszynek district. In the photo he frowns under heavy eyebrows, with a long moustache and a thick beard, and he looks like someone checking whether the walls are straight. He seems to be standing indoors on a tiled floor, so he is a dwarf to look for inside a building.

History & Significance

wromap.pl lists this Budowniczy at Blacharska 13 with the sculptor Beata Zwolańska-Hołod and an appearance date of 8 October 2022. We did not find a second source for the date or the author. There is a second dwarf with the same name, Budowniczy at Gen. Władysława Sikorskiego 7a (made by Piotr Makała and Marta Mirynowska, 2017 according to wromap.pl), so do not mix the two up; this page is about the one at Blacharska 13. We did not find who commissioned this one.

Inspiration

The name means builder in Polish, and the dwarf's serious face fits the job. The sources we found do not explain which building firm or site he refers to, so we do not invent a story.
