Story

Diguś is a very modern dwarf. He holds a smartphone up in one hand and grins under his big curly moustache, as if he has just taken the perfect selfie. Hold up your own phone next to his and take a selfie together!

History & Significance

wromap.pl places Diguś at Świdnicka 39 and names Sebastian Obst as his author. We did not find an appearance date or a sponsor. Wrocław's dwarfs trace back to the Orange Alternative, a playful, peaceful protest movement of the 1980s whose members painted dwarfs on city walls; since 2005 the city has filled its streets with bronze dwarfs, and there are now hundreds of them.

Inspiration

With a phone in his hand, Diguś clearly belongs to the digital age, and his name sounds like a playful form of 'digital'. No source we found confirms where the name comes from or who he honours.
