Story

Luksik is a bearded dwarf with a tall, rumpled pointed cap and a cheerful, wrinkly smile. In the photo he is surrounded by shiny golden walls and glass, as if he has set up home somewhere rather grand. See if you can spot him without walking straight past!

History & Significance

wromap.pl gives Luksik's address as Renoma, Świdnicka 40, names Tomasz Moczek as his author and says he appeared on 20 November 2015. The Polish Wikipedia list of Wrocław dwarfs also names Tomasz Moczek but gives a different address, plac Konstytucji 3 Maja 3, together with the name Luxsoft. The sources disagree, so check the spot on site. Wrocław's dwarfs trace back to the Orange Alternative, a playful, peaceful protest movement of the 1980s whose members painted dwarfs on city walls; since 2005 the city has filled its streets with bronze dwarfs, and there are now hundreds of them.

Inspiration

Wikipedia's list mentions Luxsoft alongside Luksik, and his name sounds like a playful form of it, but no source we found says directly who or what he honours.
