History & Significance
Dominik i Anka stand at plac Dominikański 3 in Wrocław's Old Town. wromap.pl credits Tomasz Moczek as the sculptor. The same site lists the appearance date as 28 December 2019. Wrocław's bronze dwarfs grow out of the Orange Alternative, a playful, peaceful protest movement of the 1980s whose members painted dwarfs on city walls; since 2005 the city has been filling its streets with bronze dwarfs, and there are now hundreds of them.
Inspiration
The pair stand at plac Dominikański, and the name Dominik is close to that of the square, but we found no source confirming the link. No sponsor is documented. The photo we examined shows only one of the two figures, so we do not describe the other.
