Story
Hiltuś is a dwarf with a big personality and even bigger glasses. In the photo he wears chunky square-framed spectacles, a neat jacket with a breast pocket, a pointed cap and a smart little moustache and goatee. He leans forward as if he is about to explain something with great patience, in front of a clean white wall.
History & Significance
According to wromap.pl, Hiltuś was made by Tomasz Moczek and appeared on 17 May 2018 at ul. Szybowcowa 2. Wrocław's dwarfs grew out of the Orange Alternative, a playful protest movement of the 1980s whose members painted dwarfs on city walls; the first bronze dwarf was placed on ul. Świdnicka in 2001, and hundreds have followed since. Tomasz Moczek is one of the sculptors of the first five dwarfs of 2005. We found no source that says who commissioned Hiltuś or what his name refers to.
